DEVOTIONAL: January 2026 In this year of God's Covenant, we start off in the scriptures where there are many, many promises that God has made to His people. In each of these promises, God pledges that something will (or will not) be done or given or come to pass. It is deemed necessary that we learn God's meaning of "Covenant Promises". A covenant, a promise, an agreement is where one person in the covenant makes an unconditional promise to the other, with the other person making a mutual promise in return. In Scripture, a covenant is a bond that God makes. A "Covenant Promises" is a promise made that is confirmed with a commitment, an oath. It's important to know that in "Covenant Promise", both persons are coming together in order to accomplish a common goal. This year, "2026", is a year where God reminds us that His promises are sure, His presence is near, and His power is active. Our goal is to respond by walking in faith, obedience and alignment with God's Word. The January Devotional are scriptures to start us off in this year 2026 focusing on trusting God for His guaranteed promises. Each day there is a scripture that corresponds with that day's date.
